omaha: not just somewhere in middle america

To celebrate opening our first-ever store in Nebraska, we asked Ruth (an educator, yogi and runner) from our new Village Pointe store in Omaha to tell us how yogis and runners get their sweat on in the heartland of the US. When I decided to move home from a much larger metropolitan area, a lot [...]

It’s summer in Chicago and there is nothing Chicagoans love more than that. While our winter boots collect dust in the closet, we’re busy drinking beers on Sheffield, eating tacos at Big Star, rocking jorts at Lollapalooza and, of course, cheering on the Cubs at one of the worlds most famous parks. batter’s up! 25 years ago, Rick Hansen set himself the goal of touring the world in his wheelchair. Over two years, he wheeled himself across four continents, through 34 countries; wheeling the gruelling equivalent of two marathons a day. His Man In Motion World Tour inspired people around the world and raised awareness of the potential of people with disabilities (it also inspired the Grammy nominated song St. Elmo’s Fire – listen to the lyrics – that’s the core of so many uplifting workout playlists).

spring bicycle checklist

In the absence of a vespa, a convertible porsche or a chestnut stallion, a bicycle is a wicked way to get around and feel the sun on your face and the wind in your hair this summer. Make sure everything’s still in fine fettle after months in the stable.
