I recently brought my co-worker to my hot yoga studio for the first time! These tips are on par with what I told her, so I'm glad I didn't leave anything major out. She didn't particularly enjoy the first class, but loved the benefits she felt afterword. The next day, she said she wanted to go back again!

Today was my first time to a yoga class or for that matter to ever try yoga...my experience was that I loved it. I will be doing more. I am very over weight but didn't feel intimidated by others in the class. I know that the results I'm looking for will come over time.

Nicole, this is a great blog!!

I fully agree with Greg when he says that he assumed yoga was all about serenity and relaxation. I think that notion stems from the ‘Hollywood’ take on yoga. When we see it in films and on TV, it is portrayed to us as related to a meditation type practice with deep breathing and stretching. However, it’s SO much more than that! The first time I attempted to do it, I just assumed I would automatically be a pro, until I wobbled all over the place, could barely hold my balance and collapsed in the middle of a pose! haha. You really do notice an increase in strength and stamina once you have done it so many times. While my husband and I don’t do yoga all that regularly at the moment, we do it when we can and I find it to be extremely beneficial and relaxing. It’s a nice escape away from the worries of every day life!

I believe that everyone who has ever tried yoga, should give ‘The Gift of Yoga’ to their loved ones! It’s great that there are complimentary classes available for anyone who wants to experience the mat!

Yoga definitely doesn’t judge, it comforts! And there is something very artistic and invigorating about doing it and watching others do it too! I feel that every individual has their own 'yoga identity' that they adopt while they do it & it's interesting to watch the different experience levels.

I love the gift of yoga! What a great way to try local studios or try a different kind of yoga without feeling committed to buying a membership or a number of classes.

It's also a great way to meet people. Can't wait til I try my free complimentary class!
