WHY WE LOVE THIS
“It’s slowly getting a little colder every day and, for me, that means it’s time for run pants. This winter we focused on developing new fabrics that feel warm but light, strategically placed fabrics that solve for splashes and chill, as well as reflective details that won’t leave us looking like a pylon. I know that winter running can get wild but, let’s face it, life is too short to run on a treadmill.”

1/ Run: Clear As Mud Pant
Puddles and slush are a winter running reality but running in wellies is ridiculous. The slim straight cut of these pants and the built-in water-resistant gaiters help to protect us from the elements. We’re trading our waders for gaiters.

2/ Run: Runder Under Pant
This clean and simple design is the running version of the Wunder Under Pant we all know and love. Run-friendly features like flip-up reflectivity and a continuous drawcord make these pants the black cashmere sweater of our running wardrobe.

3/ Run: Make a Move Pant
Running in cold weather is serious business and we designed these slouchy run trousers because it’s business time. The inherent moisture-wicking nature of the Rulu™ fabric makes these pants feel like a warm hug on a cold winter morning and that is all the motivation we need to get outside and run.

4/ Run With Rover Pant
At the end of a long and rainy day, we may not feel like heading out for a run but our best friend, Rover usually can’t wait. We designed these pants with a cozy Rulu™ inner layer and a protective water-resistant outer layer that will help keep us warm and dry. These pants may just be our new best friend (sorry Rover).

I know that men work at Lululemon… and as a LululemAN, I request as much attention to men’s pants as well.
I mean, not just the pants with the drawstring waist that fat people wear, but REAL pants that we can wear to work.

I am a VERY loyal Lulu purchaser, but I’ve gotta say that the Run with Rover pant is a definate miss. The under lining is too stretchy or too long and I just couldn’t get it comfortable under the pant. I also felt like the two fabrics stuck to each other like bad static electricity. These were a nice idea gone wrong.

Your cold weather running clothes get me so excited about fall & winter running (especially when they’re bright and help battle the gray, rainy Seattle days)! :-)

Any chance the SeaWheeze will make a come-back in the new year with a full marathon as well?

Very frustrated that you guys don’t always make size 12 in running pants. You always tell me that you focus on volume that would sell but I’m sure the size 12 would be flying off the shelves because every tuesday morning when the new stuff gets online, the size 12 are flying off the website…. but the good thing is: I still love you, but please make me a size 12 pair of Runder Under just for me…. :)

I tried on the two tighter ones (left 2) and thought the waistband was a problem. It’s very broad and it causes some muffin-topping. I prefer narrow bands for running pants. I have 6 pairs of running lulus so I can assure you when i say narrow bands work better, and more flexible ones.
As for the rover pants, I couldn’t buy those as I worry the slouchiness will cause thigh chafing. No idea but it’s too much money to risk. The other slouchy pair made me wonder why I would spend so much on something that I feel a little ugly in! I’m sticking to my old lightweight lulus for running and layering my old wunder-unders under them (say that 3 times!).

Hi, I just wanted to make a comment based on a earlier statement regarding size 12 running pants (I fully support this notion as I am size 12 as well). I know its hard to believe that larger people run but I know that the size 12′s will sell out just like all your other clothes, because I saw how many of us were running the seawheeze and commented on it! I remember going to every single store and looking online almost daily to see when my size would be posted, but it never came :( So PLEASE PLEASE make some size 12 running gear!

I also had a question regarding running in the far north (where we have A LOT more than just rain and slosh) – what do people wear to layer/run?

Hi Therena,
While our size range is 2-12 sometimes garments are made in sizes 2-10, 4-12 or even 2-12 based on fit and features. We do have a few styles of running bottoms that are in a size 12 like the Run: Clear as Mud Pant (http://bit.ly/TIqPpO) I personally tend to size down in run bottoms for a snug fit as I find sometimes the waist can be a bit loose with my regular size. I’m happy to share your thoughts for more size 12 running bottoms.

My husband is not huge,but he is larger than the shirts you make! Could you please make larger sizes in your men’s wear so that he can look as great as I do while working out or walking the dog, or just living! My closet is filled with Lululemon and I would love for his to be also!
