Hey Matt -

I'm a goal fanatic and am always looking for ways to be more focused and productive. When Lululemon came out with the goal tracker, I was thrilled. The only thing I needed was more accountability.

Personally, I need daily reminders and pep talks to keep me moving forward or I end up losing my way. So what I did was I looked for something would function almost like a personal coach. I found that the 100 Day Challenge was a perfect compliment to the Goal Tracker and I'm now on target to make this year the best I've had.

I wanted to run it by you to see what you think... (I think it's REALLY good). I've met the creator of the program and he's a really great guy. If you think your blog readers would like it, maybe I can ask him to even do a guest post on goal setting.... What do you think?

Best,
Alexandra Petre, PhD (ABD)

Whoa!!! Great comments everyone, and thank you! Nothing is better then when you put something out there and see it inspire someone else. Mandy, Lauren, Brian - Way to go on setting a goal for THIS week, the hard part is done now! Find someone to hold you accountable, visualize how accomplishing your goal will positively impact your life, and most importantly, don't let the pressure to accomplish your goal stress you! Let it motivate you to work harder!!!
Rock on guys,

We are all on the path and can go many different ways. I am constantly amazed at teh power of simply writing out your goals. I started doing this a few years ago and then totally forgot about it for awhile. Little did I know that writing them down actually set things in motion towards achieving them. It seemed like things just happened to fall into place to make those goals happen when I found them a couple years later. I have been writing and rewriting my goals all the time now and they only get bigger and crazier, because I know, if they are on paper, they will happen. My goal THIS week is to clean my bedroom. Now that's definitely something that scares me.

Thanks for the awesome post Matt, glad to have you on the team!!

It is very true how we worry ourselves with 'which road' to take, when in the end the most important decision is that we choose one, rather than wasting time on which is maybe'best'.

Yeah and even more powerful when they go from mind to paper to website! I have so many fantasy type ideas that I haven't taken the time to development into actual goals. All are about improving my life, so what's stopping me from taking that next step and writing them out? Maybe it's the fear of letting myself down if I don't achieve them. The best way to overcome that fear is probably to face it head on right? Well maybe all it takes is baby steps, that will eventually lead me closer and closer to achieving the big ones.

One goal I've had for a few years now actually but never went all the through with it is to de-clutter! My goal right now whether it takes me a week or till the end of the month is to de-clutter my wardrobe and then my room. I will through out all that I don't love wearing. I will get rid of all that I don't need or use regularly.

Thank you for motivating me Matt!!!

Oohhh I love the Alice in Wonderland quote! Nice work, awesome blog post, good job, thanks for the inspiration!!!

I am spending the month setting goals for the next 2 years. I have some pretty hefty goals, but I know that writing them down on paper and reviewing them at least monthly helps to get things done.

I recently read about "ordinary people doing extraordinary things" - I like to think that goal setting helps me to be an ordinary person doing extraordinary things. :)

Namaste!

Loved that you chose to focus on a goal for THIS week. So often it's next week, next month, next year. How about the do it now? I'm so excited about my new goals that it's hard to pick which one to focus on at any given time. Thanks for helping me get one step closer this week. Enjoy the journey!

Matt, you definitely read my mind with this one. I too said out loud, "I want to be a blog artist for lululemon," and it wasn't until I spoke my goal out loud (similar to writing it down) that I held myself accountable. It also helps to have people around to support you. Way to go! I look forward to reading more of your work.
