I have a really hard time working on breathing while practising yoga. I am allergic to animals and I always have a stuffy nose, I can't breath regularily out of it on a regular day. Any suggestions on how I can work around this obstacle?

Always wear comfortable clothes. Do not eat heavy meals before performing yoga or else you’ll fall asleep. Make sure you keep proper posture and be at comfort when doing pranayama yoga exercises.

This is a good one. Proper breathing technique is a necessity for a good yoga practice. Thanks.

I teach my clients Pranayama so while they are lifting weights, they breathe in during the lengthening of the muscle or the release and breath out during the shortening of the muscle, or the flexing. Getting oxygen and blood to the muscles is a necessity in lifting weights, just as it is in real life situations & yoga!

Hey Claire,
Thanks for your question! The wrap in the pictures is the Your Best Breath Wrap http://bit.ly/iv5BJE It's made of both tencel silk and Vitasea cotton and is a great versatile piece. I have it myself and find it perfect for Summer.

Maybe you can fix the title to say "Pranayama"? Instead of "Pranamaya"

Baker IDI Heart & Diabetes Institute has a great wellness program and there are about 20 of us in the course. The techniques are wonderful - thank you for posting this here. there's one - kapalabhati - that we haven't been taught yet. I'll have to ask about it.
