Goal setting is something that we hold near and dear to us at lululemon. Below is our blog artist Paige’s vision of her life in five years, her goal board, and her hedgehog – all tools we use to help us achieve a life that excites and inspires us!
My vision in the year: 2014 – THE FIVE YEAR PLAN
I am working as the Global Run Guru with lululemon and loving every minute of it. I have established lululemon as a strong brand in the run market and have helped to take the company to the next level. I travel all over the world to develop and execute high-level marketing and brand strategy projects. This also involves traveling to and working with countries where we do not have a retail presence yet but feel creating a community will be beneficial. I am managing elite athlete relationships within the endurance sport space and leverage these relationships when developing global community projects.
I am living in Lafayette, CA with my husband and our twin sons and three dogs. We vacation with the kids once a year to our property at Kukio on the Big Island of Hawaii. We take a surfing vacation without the kids to a new spot each year (Costa Rica, Fiji, Tahiti).
I qualify for the Boston Marathon, race triathlons improving my times each year and race with a competitive women’s cycling team. I also continue to play on my soccer team.
I continue to develop my expertise in Sport Psychology by lecturing three times a year and publish 10 magazine articles a year. I contribute as a Sport Psychology expert on The Today Show and Oprah. Additionally I contribute to the Lance Armstrong documentary called “The Lance Project”. I also consult with athletes for both the Winter and Summer Olympics.
I continue my volunteer work around sports in Africa and raise money year after year for organizations that I am passionate about. I travel to Africa to support these organizations every other year.

I absolutely love the idea of this. I’ve always found goal setting to be very difficult. BUt now that I know the direction i want to take after i graduate I’m finding it’s not as bad as it was when I was younger…While on the topic of goal setting… I’m currently using my Lululemon clothing tags that’s i’ve saved up over the years to make a mobile. Each one has a goal i wan to achieve, as they’re achieved I plan on taking them down and pinning them on my board with a big “Check” on them… Just an idea

Doesn’t it feel awesome to be able to “check” off the goals you’ve achieved? I have to say, deleting goals that I’ve decided are no longer important to me (and therefore not accomplishing) is always a bummer. Paige, please let us know when your articles get published this fall!!

This is really helpful to view an example of goals and how you plan to execute them. Sometimes it is hard to think through on your own – thank you for sharing with us!
