Here at lululemon, we are constantly striving to offer you great gear to sweat in that is easy to shop for. We recently took a close look at our sizing and found a little refining was in order for our small and XXL sizes. As a result, we have updated the fit of our shirts, pants, hoodies, jackets and shorts in sizes small and XXL and we want you to know.

What does this mean for you? If you are used to wearing our men’s size small, our “new” small fits a little closer to the body. If you are an XXL, you’ll notice a little bit more room. If you are a medium, large or XL, you should’ve stopped reading this already won’t experience any changes.

Think this is definitely a step in the right direction. However, when will we see an expansion of the men’s line? It would be FANTASTIC to have as many new products on a weekly basis as women. Also please tell me the size difference between the Mission pant and Mission pant II? Have been nike junkie for years and have made th switch but finding it hard unless LULU stepd up their game.

Agreed, you need to expand (and be creative!) with the men’s line. More options like men’s crops and tank tops for athletic practice. SERIOUSLY!!! A unisex line like the Lululemon Lab’s Unity Collective!!! Sizes XS-XL!!!

All new items coming out will follow the new sizing chart. And yes, so it was super easy for our online guests, we removed any past styles that followed the previous measurements. Anything you order today will be made to the new sizing!

Love all of this feedback, John and we are hearing you. If there are any specific things you are wanting to see from our men’s line, like specific activities we focus on, certain cuts/fits/styles, new features and technologies that you loved etc, send them our way! For the Mission Pant II, it’s just this seasons version. It’s made of the same Power Stretch fabric, has the reflectivity and a similar cut. The only difference you’ll really notice is with the new sizing, particularly if you wear either a small or a double extra large.

Does this “closer to body fit” include the pant thighs? I am a size Small, but find that the thighs on most of the pants are a little on the snug side through the thighs already. I’m a lifter so I tend to have larger quads/hammies than most, but I would love to be able to get into a pair of trainer pants with a little looser thigh fitment (below the knee is great).

Maybe introduce another luon pant style to address this or offer pants like the trainer in different cuts (kind of like straight and relaxed fit jeans)–I don’t know, just a thought.

Also, more hoodies AND bring back the logo on the hood itself!!!

Now can we get some expansion of the men’s line here at LULU. We are in need of as much cool gear as the women.
How about:
1-Mens metal vent mock turtlenecks for cold running as well as cool golf days.
2-more of the inkwell or black blue iris….BLUE is the new black(eneough grey/black)
3-variety of socks with colors
4-please keep litttle size tag(little dot tag) on underwear and shorts and size on hem of shirts. I like to wear different fitted (l or xl) depending on what the Crossfit WOD of the day might be.
5-how about bringing back the old school track short (reponse short length) with compression lining and contrast stitching
6-thumb holes on sleeves and the little extra material that used to be on backside of the hand.
7-more of the womens lulu material on shirts and shorts.
8-contrast stitching on shorts and shirts
9-why not shorts made out of metal vent material(if possible)
10-how about a different color on the venting areas of metal vent (if it’s possible)…not the half sleeve/half shirt colorblocking that looks like left over pieces stitched together..
11- crossfit and golf specific gear would be great!
12- some special edition themed gear…such as pink for men during breast cancer month..red/white/blue for July 4th..just a thought (inkwell shorts with those colors contrast stitching)
13- as far as fit…I prefer the athletic fit where I could go large or if want it little looser an xl…slim fit is just very difficult for me
14- more of the pwer stretch fabric from the mission pants…AWESOME!!
15- eneough of the 50 SHADES OF BLACK & GREY!!!

Please manufacture more of the 4″ Light as Air shorts, size small. They’ve been sold out for months which tells me that you’re not producing enough to meet the demand. Shorter guys like myself look better in the smaller length shorts and it’s frustrating that they’re not available. Thanks.

I really like Lululemon clothing. Design, fit, and quality are all superb. Once I had experienced Lululemon, I just couldn’t wear Nike or Under Armour any more. They were no longer good enough.

So, I strongly agree that you desperately need to expand your men’s line. Also, please stop discontinuing good products so soon after their introduction! I love my M Studio Shorts and my Inversion Tank IIs, but now I can’t get any more of them. NONE of the shorts that you currently have for sale are appropriate for yoga or Pilates.

Please bring back the M Studio Short and the Inversion Tank II. More colors and patterns would be nice. Adding odd waist sizes (e.g. 33″) for an even better fit would be awesome.

Did the 5-Year Tees get the length back on the XXL size? Those were my favorite shirts of all time, until the length got reduced. Someone 6’2″ shouldn’t have to buy XXL, but I guess that is reality. The least we could do is get the length back. Also, I wish my 5 Year Tee would have lasted that long. I bought 3 in black, and all 3 faded within the first 3-4 washes. I guess I have to go back to wearing my shirts 4-5 times between washes.

The 5 Year Basic Tees in XXL are the same length despite the slight size changes to our gear. I completely appreciate that you’d love to see the length back for your gear and I am noting this down to share with our team. I recommend taking your tee’s to your local store so we can chat about how they are wearing and about the fading that you’ve seen from washing.

We are starting to think about the warmer seasons now so shorts are certainly on our mind. We will see some styles restocked in the tall length for men however I don’t know when at the moment. If you’re near a local store, it’s best to pop in to check out what inventory they have for the style.

This is great news. I wear a small and all the tops I had previously bought are a little loose. The shoulders and length are right, they just have too much room around the torso. I’m looking forward for better fitting tops. A bigger mens section would be nice as well.

I agree that some more bright colours, and variety in the metal vent tech short sleeves would be awesome.

Also….GOLF!!! Lulu would be all I would buy for golf gear, and I remember you guys having sweet golf stuff a few years ago, in particular a bright, bright coral coloured polo that was just awesome. Would love to wear some silverescent stuff on the course.

Thanks for the response! So happy you made the xxl bigger!! I like clothes that fit a bit looser and doesn’t suffocate my chest! Would love all shirts to be longer in length and bigger around chest! Really want a half zip/button shirt with half collar! It’s hip and cool! Also like thicker styles like the chills stop half zips! I appreciate Lulu listening to their consumers! Men’s line needs o continue o expand and have looser tops/shirts! I do like the grey/silver/white colors and would love them all a little looser round the chest since my pecs are in need of room to grow ;) Thanks for making xxl bigger !

Bring back the old sizing. You are completely removing the taller population from purchasing any clothing. As another poster stated, a 6’2 customers should not be purchasing a XXL. Look at your reviews. Men who are 5’7-5’9 are purchasing a size Large. What do you expect those over 6’2 to wear? Its a shame because I have been willing to buy more product, but will stick with my year or older clothes that are MUCH longer.

And for the record, this change, specifically for the XXL is a stupid decision. You’re an ATHLETIC company, Id be absolutely shocked if you had an overwhelming men clientele complaining that your XXL isn’t wide enough

I echo all the comments on making the shirts longer in length. The shirt sleeves (on long sleeve metal vent tech) are plenty long, but then the shirt hits right below my waist, seems much too short. Also, I have purchased several metal vent series shirts that seem to have different sizing as far as the length goes.

Mens: More colors. More tank tops in the metal tech material. More running shorts

Shorts: Okay, the new sizing has me miffed. The current small fits me PERFECTLY. Medium is too large (especially in the crotch). I think you guys need to post a visual chart so we can see where the snugness occurs. A Medium shirt with you guys is way too big. Simply make an X-Small.

While the XXL fits slightly larger, it doesn’t warrant a new size range. This is the same with the S, which fits a tad closer to the body. I haven’t heard of any plans to change the women’s size range although I can share you’d like to see it extended.

For those of us who don’t live in a major city, ordering from Athleta or Title IX is very hit-and-miss, and very frustrating that our slighly smaller sisters are able to shop for the perfect Lulu in a local studio or showroom.

I would like to see more fit options. Your slim fit tops may fit someone who is very trim, but anyone with larger muscles cannot fit into your tops. I’m 5’10″ and need an XL in your tops. I usually wear a medium or an athletic cut large from other manufacturers. You are really missing out on a lot of more customers/business.

Also, the core shorts seem to come and go too often. The newer ones do not have the same color and quality as the ones from a few years ago.

I read LuLuLemon was going to vastly expand its mens line, yet I have witnessed the opposite. The winter had VERY few new additions and really has done a poor job keeping your male customers interest.

Please restock the 4″ Light as Air shorts(as recommended above by Morgan). They’ve been sold out for a long time. Seems to me that it makes good sense from a profit standpoint to make them available to customers. While we’re at it, Lululemon should make them a year-round option with larger quantities of size small and even extra small. Long shorts aren’t flattering on shorter guys. Period.

I am a body builder, and I absolutely love the feel of Lululemon clothing on my body as I train. It allows for plenty of stretch and free motion. During legs day I usually wear the 4 inch light as air shorts. They allow for deep squats without cutting off my range of motion. I recently have tried the Blaze tight pants and instantly fell in love with how comfortable they are!! The tank tops are amazing as well.

The problem is, that these products are seasonal in the men’s line. I train no matter if it’s hot or cold. Even during cold weather you will catch me in my 4 inch shorts. I don’t think Lululemon actually realizes the amount of demand that their men’s clothing has. You have to expand the men’s clothing. All it takes is one look on your website to see that the marketing on the men’s apparel is lacking. The women’s line has so many products it almost makes me jealous. Please find a way to come up with more men’s apparel, especially for the body builders!! Shorts, tanks, fitted hoodies, and tight running pants are all appreciated YEAR ROUND!

The Metal Tech Long Sleeve is plenty long enough in the body — advise not making it shorter as some have suggested. The XXL Metal Tech Long Sleeve and the 5 Year Basic Long Sleeve were both already long in the body so I don’t know where this is coming from. They were also quite big enough in the body — I hope those aren’t the ones that have been fattened up.

So here’s a silly little question. How come men have a size XXL and women do not. I promise you would see a lot more people ordering if it were available. I wear a Large-XL and am very muscular-however, I want my clothes to fit larger-so an XXL would be amazing for me. On behalf of my husband-I have to say that an expansion on mens items would be awesome. And if you aren’t going to make women’s sizes bigger, maybe you could offer some unisex clothing so that women could wear mens clothing. It would be nice to be able to wear lulu at yoga despite being a heavier girl. Yoga is for everyone, and lulu is for yogis, so shouldnt lulu be for everyone as well? <3 you lulu but this bothers me and a lot of the other men and women i practice with, you range in size form 00-18 womens and xs mens to XXL mens. SO I HAVE TO AGREE WITH THE KUNG FU PANT COMMENT….I HAD PURCHASED THREE OF THESE 3-4 YEARS AGO AND WOULD LOVE TO BE ABLE TO BUY NEW ONES. ALL OF MY FRIENDS (WHO FIRST TEASE ME ABOUT WEARING LULU) THEN TRY ON THE KING FU PANTS AND WANT TO BUY THEM….ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THEY DON’T MAKE THEM ANYMORE AND THE ONES THAT ARE MADE ARE FITTED AT THE BOTTOM.

ALSO THE SAME WITH THE MEN’S CORE SHORTS. THE SPOT FOR THE PHONE IN THOSE SHORTS WERE PERFECT, YET YOU ONLY SELL THEM ON THE CANADA SITE AND CAN’T BUY THEM IN THE US. AGAIN, AT LEAST 10 PEOPLE AT THE 5K’S THAT I RUN HAVE ASKED ME WHERE TO GET THEM WHEN THEY SEE MY PHONE NOT BOUNCING AROUND.

I am really disappointed that your women’s line only goes up to size 12. I agree with a previous comment that your women’s line should go up to size 18. There are several women out there that want to work out in something more stylish and you have excluded several women as a target market, when the majority of a women in North America is a 12 or up.

At 6’4 I have been totally disappointed with the hoodies and jackets.. All xxl sleeves on these items have fallen way too short. As part of the RnD program I have written in and submitted feedback multiple times. Please tell me the new xxl hoodies and jackets have an increase sleeve length??? Please please please…????

The Seawall pant is a great all-purpose pant that falls somewhere between chinos and sweatpants. Most of the other men’s pants skew too far on the sweatpants side. This is a gap that I see across all men’s “active” wear.

Where the heck are the double-cotton fleece hoodies? It’s been almost two years since I’ve seen a lulu guys hoodie with the classic thick, comfy feel. I click the “Shop Mens” button on every email I get and am always disappointed, the jackets and hoodies have been very poor for a long time.

Bring back double-cotton fleece hoodies, thicker athletic jackets for biking in cold weather, and kung-fu pants. I haven’t bought anything from you guys for two years.

In previous seasons, you offered a men’s short with a shorter inseam. I think it was 7 inches.

Now, all of the shorts offered are longer.

Please consider offering at least one style with a 5,6, or 7 inch inseam. Guys with shorter legs need them, and even guys without short legs like them sometimes (like in the sun).
