I think your photos are beautiful and I absolutely love the witty and upbeat signs!

Marathons truly do have a way of uniting people, Alana. I'm racing in the NYC Half-Marathon this March. My goal was to create a team of individuals whose goals aligned with mine; instead I was given an opportunity, to bring together a group of individuals from very different lifestyles and levels of fitness--but we all connected on our motivation level. Within 2 hours of planting the idea of the race, I had been contacted by 10 different people who were whole-heartedly dedicated and genuinely ready to commit something bigger than themselves. We have committed to racing for charity, so we are running for more than just our own personal goals, we are raising awareness and funding for the prevention of teen obesity!

Marathons seem impossible to many, but I've realized that, for me, the challenge is mental. Once I was able to overcome my own physical limitations (having not raced more than a 10-K in my running career), I realized that I've been training for this race my whole life...through every challenge and obstacle I've ever faced. I'm now at a place where I've already envisioned myself crossing the finish line, breathing deeply, smiling widely and sporting a glorious glow of pure sweat and achievement.

I've experienced more enthusiasm, support, and positivity than I anticipated when I signed up for this race, I can't even imagine the outcome on race day!

lulemon should definitely come out and support the NYC Half Marathon this March! It is by far one of the most exciting and unifying races that NYC has to offer its community! :)

I was there and I saw you all! During a "quieter" section of the course, you were a welcomed round of inspiration. P.S. I was wearing my "push ur limits tank" in lilac.

Love lulu. Love, love, lulu.

I recently asked my husband if we could plan a future vacation to Boston to watch the Boston Marathon. He looked at me and said, "it's official: you're definitely a runner."

The Lincoln Square store threw an awesome party for us after the marathon. It added that extra bit to my experience in NYC, as if the marathon itself wasn't enough. It was a blast and I'm glad I got to hang out with our friends in the US. I even got to meet a couple other Ambassadors. Awesome job guys!!!!!
