Hi Krissy,

I would avoid all fabric softeners. Think of Luxtreme as having tiny little pores that moisture gets drawn into. What fabric softener does is clog those pores. So when you block the pores then the fabric won't moisture wick. I accidently did it to some of my socks and I have noticed the difference.

hope that helps :)

Luxtreme is great! I own quite a few Lululemon items made of Luxtreme, of which my three favorite are my Hills Crops, the Wrap Tech Tank, and the Not So Low Tank. I live in Southern California and do spin classes so staying cool while working out can be tough. Luxtreme is wonderful to work out in. It's so lightweight and breathable it almost feels like I have nothing on. The Hills Crops have a ingenious design of cool luxtreme on the front of the leg and heavier luon for the backside. It is perfect for spin class. The whole Lululemon run line is wonderful - keep up the great work!

Quick Question about one of the care tips:

Do not use fabric softener as this inhibits the wicking capabilities in technical fabrics.

Does this mean the liquid fabric softener that goes IN the wash like Snuggle, or does it refer to the sheets that go in the dryer like Bounce or both?

Cheers,
Krissy
