Theresa Ridgway

Theresa is an avid and accomplished runner. She enjoys running mostly with her friends and on the trails and in the local parks. She has been running for almost 30 years first as a member, and then Captain and Most Value Player of her high school cross-country and track programs. She continued running recreationally after high school. She has run 3 ultra-marathons and 12 marathons clocking 3:04 as her fastest marathon time on two occasions. Her performances of note include her 2010 7th place finish at the USATF 50 mile train run Championships in White River, Washington, and her 4th place female finish at the 2009 Green Lakes trail 50k in New York. She placed 10th female at the 2008 Bay State Marathon in Lowell, Massachusetts. She also was the 4th place female finisher of 2008 Cox Providence Marathon in Rhode Island and the 8th place female finisher of 2007 Bay State Marathon. Theresa has qualified and participated in the Boston Marathon in 2010, 2009 and 2001. Locally she was the first woman from Newburyport, Massachusetts . at the Yankee 10 mile race in 2007 and 2008. She also placed 2nd in the Around the Cape, Cape Ann 25k in 2008.
Theresa generally runs between 40 and 70 miles each week, logging at least 4 miles daily, sometimes running twice a day. She also participates in one to two spin classes and a TRX class each week. You can find Theresa running plyometric drills on the local track or in a nearby park. She is a charitable planning attorney who works full-time. Theresa works and lives in Marblehead, Massachusetts, with her fiancée and coach, Michael Toomey, her 6-year-old daughter, Maria and their dog, Lucy
