Angela began swimming competitively when she was eight years old, what began as a hobby has grown into a lifelong passion toward athleticism. After graduating from Northwestern University with both a Bachelors and Masters degree, Angela's weekend triathlon activities quickly evolved into a lifestyle. As difficult as it was to leave a successful and rewarding teaching position, Angela's choice to pursue fitness as a fulltime profession has proven itself to be the correct decision time and time again.
Angela is currently the Triathlon and Aquatics Coordinator at the Lakeview, Lincoln Park and Westloop locations of Chicago Athletic Clubs. She manages all aspects of the triathlon and swimming programs, while personal training and teaching a select group of exercise classes on the side. As a head coach of the triathlon club, she is especially proud of each of her triathlete's achievements from countless first time Sprint distance finishers to veteran Ironmen.
When Angela is not training others to toward their goals, she is normally training toward hers. The total number of triathlons Angela has competed in over the past decade approaches three digits and she is currently focused on Arizona Ironman as her target race for 2008. Having the opportunity to help a single person set and achieve their goals is rewarding in and of itself. Being able to live a lifestyle based on these successes is truly a blessing.
