Amanda Roush has been a certified personal trainer for over 12 years. She has a B.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology and a Master's Degree in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention. She holds several national certifications including the National Academy of Sports Medicine and AAFA.
Amanda is an instructor for 2 major personal training organizations and also serves as an adjunct professor for local colleges & universities.
She has always been an active person and is passionate about motivating and inspiring people to take their fitness goals to the next level. In 2008, she was hired to train "The Biggest Loser's" (NBC's Hit Reality Show) oldest contestants once they were voted off the show in order to get them ready for the finale.
The 64 year old couple, Jerry & Estella Hayes, only lasted on the show two weeks. They spent just under 7 months training with Amanda and lost a combined total of 261 lbs!!! At the live season finale, Jerry's final weigh in resulted in a loss of 177 lbs, equaling almost 50% of his body weight lost. It earned him the $100,000 at home prize and the title of "The Biggest Loser".
Since moving to the Charleston area in 2009, Amanda has continued to use her unique approach to training to help people with performance and weight loss goals maximize their potential through innovative exercise program design and nutritional guidance.
