I believe that when you roll up your mat at the end of class, that is when the real practice begins. I have had the privilege to watch the transformations of my students through yoga, both on and off the mat. When I saw how yoga influenced my life, I realized my ultimate dream was to open a yoga studio in Monterey to build a beautiful, friendly, inspiring environment for people to practice, no matter their level of fitness or expertise. I strived to make my studio accessible to everyone, which is one reason why my classes are based on donations. I love more than anything to work one on one with my clients, whether yoga, pilates, or nutrition. I feel blessed every day to be given the opportunity to share my knowledge and experiences with my students. I strive for my classes to be a bit challenging and humbling. I encourage my students to come out of their comfort zone and explore different postures and evoke a bit of sweat. I want my students to not only embrace their physical state but to explore their mental state as well. I am a registered yoga, pilates, spin leader and holistic nutritionist and enthusiast. I am certified through yoga fit and have continued my education through Rusty Wells’ Bhakti Flow training in San Francisco. When I’m not at the studio, I enjoy snuggling with my bulldogs Hula & Dalai and Husband, Brenton or and spending time with my friends and family. Whenever I get the chance, you can find me surfing at the beach or hiking the hills of Carmel Valley or Big Sur. I opened the doors of Om Oasis in November 2005, and it is every bit the community that I had imagined. I truly look forward to being a part of Lulu Lemon’s motivating team!
