Brie Mathers brings to Yoga a seven-year history of formal Zen practice and Yogic-Buddhist teacher training with the Mahasiddhas. Brie's teaching offers a method of wholeheartedly relating to the full range of life experience as she invites new students to the deeply fortifying and emotionally soothing benefits of gentle Yoga. Formerly the Yoga therapist and mindfulness practice instructor for the addiction rehabilitation clinic Recovery Without Walls in Mill Valley, Brie is currently the Yoga therapist for Serrena, Monterey Bay's Integrative Cancer and Cardiac Care Clinic. In her book Freedom to Blossom-An Invitation to Shine, Brie shares both her story of coming to more radiant sanity, and the mindfulness-based program she designed and presented to thousands across her native Canada. Brie is delighted to make Carmel-by-the Sea her new home and joins the Yoga Center of Carmel's family with open heart.
