"My journey in the fitness industry started when I was rock climbing at an elite level and ended up with posture like a monkey, so I went along to a BodyBalance class with my mum to help my posture. I couldn't believe it could actually be a job to teach fitness and help people become healthier and happier. I became a keen front row participant in group fitness classes for a few months before training to be a BodyBalance instructor. I have since added BodyPump and BodyAttack to the list of classes I teach.
Last year I decided to become a personal trainer as I felt the need to be able to assist people on a more personal level to make sure they were achieving their full potential. I love the psychological aspect of personal training that gives me such a strong bond with my clients. I feel like their 'fitness mum.'
If you would like to find me or participate in one of my classes, I teach at lots of gyms around Canberra. My home club is Fernwood Civic where I personal train and I am always keen to add more people to my fitness family!"
