2110 Fitness director and co-owner, Christopher Campbell, has been in the fitness industry for more than nine years and has seen many evolutions in fitness during that time. It was through his experience and a pivotal moment in his family’s life that led him and his twin brother, Jonathan Campbell, to work together doing something they loved with the vision of changing people’s lives.
Five years ago, their father, Nick Campbell, unfortunately suffered four heart attacks in one week. His health slipped and normal daily activities became harder. The family got together and asked each other what they would want to accomplish in the next five years. For the brothers, it came down to their dream of getting people healthy and prolonging that health well into their 80s.
“I love working together with my brother and have never met anyone who works harder or who has a greater skillset of business and fitness,” Campbell says and adds, “He keeps me in check and is the one person in this world who I always know is looking out for the betterment of me and for the betterment of 2110.”
Campbell’s role as Fitness Director for 2110 Fitness is to overlook all of the fitness concepts, including program design and class designs, and keep each member moving forward toward their fitness goals. He tailors each program to specific and customized needs, such as addressing injury histories, and translating that knowledge to cater to member goals. He also keeps up with research so that modern concepts are more functional and prescribed individually to each member. Classes are even purposely smaller so instructors can focus on individual needs of members taking classes.
Although 2110 Fitness started out with the concept of originally being the number of his house, the vision of the brothers was to create an environment based on respect and support. However, Campbell is amazed at how the concept of 2110 Fitness has taken shape over the last year and says he owes it all to the clients that walk through the front doors on a daily basis. For him, it is the people they work with that are the actual examples of the unique culture of the facility.
“The people here are incredible and they are defining 2110 more than we could ever try, “ he says and smiles. “The individuals who walk through our doors shape the vision of this facility on a daily basis. It has become a place where everyone is family and everyone pushes each other to achieve their collective and individual goals.
“For us, it means everything to see clients succeed and its the whole reason we started 2110. To bring them along and help them acheive their goals. It’s the most rewarding thing in the world to see them acheive something they never thought they could. It’s a very unique relationship. We’re having such a good time doing this right now but it’s the people that have made it possible and I am so thankful for that.”
