Having been a dancer while growing up, Kristina considers herself an adult-onset athlete. Starting while she was a grad student at Harvard, she's been running for 13 years, falling in love with the sport as a way to meditate, achieve, compete, and serve the community. An 8-time marathoner, Kristina is an RRCA-certified coach who runs a successful individualized coaching business: Mile Mannered Running. She aims to empower runners to strive and reach their potential and to reap the mind-body benefits of a running lifestyle.
In addition to coaching, Kristina is a fitness writer whose work has appeared in Runner's World and Women's Running. You can also find her writing on her blog, Mother Running Rampant (http://kristinapinto.net), hosted by the Competitor Group. When she's not writing and coaching, you can most likely find Kristina drinking milkshakes and reading Harry Potter with her 6-year-old son, Henry.
