Ginger Boermeester

Roots Yoga Burlington

About twelve years ago, I found myself suffering from stubborn physical limitations and ailments. Unbalanced across the board, I craved fine-tuning on a physical, spiritual and emotional level. Yoga was the answer, leading to a new found sense of harmony and wholeness, a reprieve from today’s chaotic world. It restored my balance and renewed my inner and outer strength. After two years of practice, while working full time in corporate sales and marketing, I completed my second RYT200 certification. In June of 2012, with over five years of teaching experience, I opened Roots Yoga Studio. Within that same year I was chosen by Lululemon and asked to join their ambassadorship program, which has helped me to grow in an even more positive direction. My love for yoga, along with my... Tom Hogan

Prana Cambridge; Soni Cambridge; Down Under Yoga

Tom teaches a flowing vinyasa style yoga class that synchronizes breath with movement while incorporating simple and clear alignment cues. Each class is consistent in its therapeutic goal of safely opening each part of the body, while expressing the spontaneity and freedom of a flowing style of practice. Tom was first introduced to yoga eight years ago, while attending a lecture on Tibetan Heart Yoga by Michael Roach, the first Westerner to earn the Buddhist title of Geshe, or master. After living for years with a stirred-up mind and mixed-up emotions, Tom was amazed by the clarity with which Geshe Roach described the relationship between the physical body, the breath, and thoughts and feelings. Very simply put, move a muscle, change a feeling. For more information about Tom and to... Read the profile >>
