Danielle is a certified vinyasa yoga instructor (200 hour Corepower Yoga Power Teacher Training in Colorado) who has been teaching beginner to advanced yoga classes for the past 4 years. She has been practicing yoga for over 7 years and passionately enjoys spreading the powerful benefits of yoga to others. She is also a certified prenatal yoga teacher and a licensed phy...sical therapist who specializes in working with children with special needs. Danielle has attended numerous workshops and trainings to deepen her teaching and her own practice. She is truly inspired by teachers including Seane Corn, Shiva Rea, Darren Main, and Desiree Rumbaugh amongst others.
She has spend much time in Nairobi, Kenya volunteering with the Africa Yoga Project (http://www.africayogaproject.org/), assisting and mentoring local Kenyan yoga teachers trained by Baron Baptiste. Africa Yoga Project spreads the transformative benefits of yoga through guiding free community yoga classes led in social halls, girls’ centers and schools in underdeveloped settlements.
In 2009 Danielle raised $20,000 through a yoga based leadership program co-founded by Seane Corn, Off the Mat, Into the World, to benefit three main projects in Uganda. She traveled to Uganda in February 2010 to put the money to work in creating a birthing center, building a primary school, and to witness the construction of a water filtration system and a garden at an orphanage.
