Lynne first began her inquiry into spiritual practice as a young girl who attended catholic summer camp and schools. This journey led her to Georgetown University where she studied languages and linguistics and began a path a destruction that ultimately led to 2 hospitalization stays for eating disorders and depression. Lynne was first introduced to yoga in 1991 on the advice of her psychiatrist. This began a long process of healing which is still ongoing. She completed her 1st Teacher Training at Kripalu where she learned the quiet and softer yoga practices, which continue to inspire her Restorative yoga classes. These classes are about letting go at a very deep level and allowing the body to come to a place of rest, ease and healing - both emotional and physical. After completing her initial training at Kripalu, Lynne opened Back Bay Yoga to provide a space for deep spiritual and physical practice. Around that time, Lynne met Ana Forrest whose wisdom and patience has inspired many years of teaching and managing BBY. Lynne classes step outside the usual and invite practitioners to find their authentic self. She encourages students to discover their own pose within the flow of both yoga and life. Lynne is the founder and director of Back Bay Yoga.
