Andy Marx

The Most Informal Running Club Ever

A local Bostonian transplant and co-founder/organizer of The Most Informal Running Club Ever, when not selling electronic health records for eHana.com, Andy spends his time bringing hundreds of people together to run, eat, and even get married under the Informal Running umbrella. In his spare time, he is the Assistant Race Director for the New Balance Reach the Beach Relay in Massachusetts. Growing up in New York has given Andy a unique perspective of the New England sporting world which helps fuel his desire to continually expand and grow the running community. "I've known Andy since the beginning," says local running guru Scott Platt. "I'll never forget the first time he pied me." 10 years later, some would say that Andy should have listened to less punk rock. Read the profile >>

Joanna Benevides

North End Yoga & South Boston Yoga

Yoga has been a tremendous force of healing in my life. While living in New York City and working in the fashion industry for over 5 years, I was always on-the-go and found my mind and my body over-worked and extremely stressed. It was in my yoga practice where I began to observe from within. I was able to separate myself from the outside world, quiet my mind and listen to my heart. I fell in love with the practice and what started as a hobby, turned into a new path in my life. As my practice grew, so did my appreciation and love for not only the flowing movement and connection to the breath, but the spirituality and philosophy behind the practice. I feel truly blessed to be able to share my love for the practice with others through teaching. My intention as a yoga instructor is to... Read the profile >>
