Preston came to study yoga after years of high intensity work-outs that included dance aerobics, step aerobics, running, and cycling. He was drawn to yoga because of the physical and emotional benefits it brought to his life. Preston believes that both strength and flexibility are important for a balanced, healthy lifestyle. He truly embodies the concept of yin-yang. Preston?s aerobics background taps into his high energy and dynamic personality. Yet, he also integrates his calm presence and strong spirituality into his daily life and yoga classes. Preston believes that yoga brings balance to the mind, body and spirit and his classes incorporate both the energizing aspects as well as the restorative aspects of yoga. He has mainly practiced heated Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga and was committed to teaching Baptiste Power Vinyasa since his first class at Down Dog. Additionally, because of his extensive knowledge in strength training and anatomy, he tends to bring a strong focus to alignment and body mechanics in his classes. You can expect a balanced practice when you enter one of Preston's yoga classes.
