Kristen Henehan
Kristen Henehan has always been an avid fitness lover. As a child growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, she participated in every sport from swimming to soccer. She found her true passion in running and as a senior at Carondelet High School won the prestigious Footlocker National Cross Country Championship. Kristen then went on to compete at Georgetown University where she was a team captain and 3-time NCAA Division I All-American. Most recently, Kristen surprised herself and the local community when she won her debut marathon, the 2007 Marine Corps Marathon. She then fulfilled a lifelong dream by qualifying for the 2008 U.S. Women’s Olympic Trials with a personal best of 2:45:12. Kristen has been featured in ESPN, Runner’s World, Sport Illustrated and Washingtonian.
While the accolades are great, they aren’t what keep Kristen motivated. She loves the positive energy that comes from exercising and wants to share this passion with others. As a result, she is launching a Fit4Mom’s branch in Bethesda, MD with Fit4Mom’s Founder and Clarendon lululemon Ambassador, Sheila Cordaro. Fit4Mom’s cross training program is a great supplement to running and provides an amazing total body workout. Kristen is excited about this endeavor and dedicated to helping her clients reach their fitness goals.
In addition, Kristen is working towards her American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certification and working full time as a government affairs consultant at Evans Capitol Group. She is preparing for a different kind of marathon this fall as she and her husband, Mike, are expecting their first child.
