Caitlyn Paus is a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. A graduate from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas with degrees in Nursing and Kinesiology, Paus was a four year letter-winner on the softball team. Caitlyn has been doing CrossFit for three years at CrossFit Bellevue after a friend introduced her to the sport and she was instantly hooked. She obtained her Level One Certification and started coaching one year ago. Paus is a member of the CrossFit Bellevue Games Team. Her team tied for fourth place at the Northwest Regional in 2012 and is looking forward to the upcoming 2013 competition season. Jason is a native to the northwest. He was born in Bothell, grew up in Everett and has lived in the Mill Creek area for the last 11 years. Growing up, Jason was an avid athlete; playing football, basketball and running track. He endured many sports injuries over the years that eventually led him to hang up his cleats. Due to lack of activity, two ankle surgeries and entering a busy corporate world, Jason began to pack on the pounds. In 2004, Jason discovered the mix of Bikram yoga and Power yoga and his life was transformed. For Mary, discovering yoga felt like she had found the perfect pair of jeans that fit just right. Mary began practicing yoga in 2001. In 2008, Mary completed the YogaWorks 200 hour teacher training. With this training she has gained appreciation of combining the flow of Ashtanga with the alignment precision offered with Iyengar. When Mary took her first Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga class she was immediately hooked on this dynamic, comprehensive, challenging, yet accessible style of yoga. Mary completed the SHAKTI Teacher Assisting Program, Level 1 and 2 with Baron Baptiste and continues to mentor under Lisa Black. Raised in the Northwest, Sami has been around fitness and the outdoors her entire life. From early in her childhood, Sami competed in gymnastics and cheerleading, continuing through high school and earning a scholarship to the University of Idaho. She graduated from the University of Idaho with honors and two degrees in Finance and Economics. While in undergrad she became an avid runner and has since participated in several half and full marathons. In early 2009 Sami moved to Nashville where she became a Pure Barre teacher. It was here she fell in love with the Pure Barre technique, leaving business management to teach fitness full-time. Tommy is a Gulf War veteran who studied at the University of Washington and has been teaching cycling classes in the greater Seattle area for the past 10 years. In 2006, he turned his passion for cycling into a full-time job instructing classes, bike guiding, coaching and training cyclists for their first century rides.
