Philadelphia native Hadji Jones is creating a serene experience for those following his teaching while allowing the healing principles of yoga to lead him on his journey. Students of Yoga that practice alongside Hadji are afforded an environment filled with balance and patience which sets the stage for stress relief, focus and self-awareness.
Hadji Jones’ transformation to highly disciplined student and teacher of Vinyasa Yoga began as a journey of self-worth that has developed into cultural defiance of confidence and serenity. Seeking freedom and tranquility from a career plagued with agony and limited mobility, Yoga became the healing method that reshaped and balanced the life of “The Black Yogi,” and now the lives of his many students.
A graduate of Dhyana Yoga’s Vinyasa Teacher Training Program, Hadji's journey has taught him the necessity for balance and bridging one’s daily trials to experiences within the practices of yoga. Through conscious breaths and fluid movements Hadji teaches his students to release to the pose and surrender to the harmonious moments born during the self-exploration of Vinyasa Yoga.
Hadji's mantra of “Live Free” leads his teachings, providing students an environment in which they can freely release from the stress of their daily lives. As “The Black Yogi” Hadji teaches his students that ethnicity, size, age, or social stature have no bearing on who will benefit from the healing principles of the practice.
Hadji travels throughout the country to strengthen his training and challenge himself as a student of existing as well as new forms of Yoga. His experiences allow him to incorporate new techniques and healing methods in to the classes.
