My name is Irene Minster and I am originally from New York City, NY. After traveling the world for 20 years, I have settled down in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

I am the owner of Kamalaya Goal & Life Coaching, LLC. My business incorporates a physical component into counseling. You can choose from Yoga, Running, Hiking or Leisurely Biking.

I am very blessed to be a lululemon Run/Yoga Ambassador (2012-2015). I have been able to participate in some wonderful events, such as Wanderlust, Landmark Forum and the SeaWheeze Half Marathon in Vancouver, BC. I currently lead bi-weekly complimentary lululemon hikes in the Sandia Mountains, incorporating yoga & meditation. I love my lulu family!

I have been running for almost 30 years and I am a certified Ashtanga Yoga instructor. I have also been a presenter at Wanderlust Copper Mountain (2013) and Wanderlust Aspen-Snowmass (2014). I also volunteer my time to help those in my community who would like to train for either a 10K, half marathon or full marathon.

Running is my number passion, followed closely by yoga! I have completed numerous marathons and half marathons and too many 10Ks and 5Ks to count. I believe that everyone should run a race once in their lifetime. The rush of crossing the finish line will change you forever. You will discover that your body is strong, but your mind is even stronger.

Yoga is the perfect addition to any training. It teaches you about your diaphragm, your breath and body awareness. When you match your cadence with your breath, your entire body and stride fall into sync. You'll run smoother and speeding up will be easier. Hamstrings and hips will open. Speed increases and injuries decrease.

I believe that Running and Yoga are the perfect complement. Yoga works your body through a full range of motion to create symmetry and balance. Running teaches you patience and endurance. I believe that every obstacle in our life has a purpose --- one to make you stronger and one to make you patient. Yoga and Running help keep me balanced.
